I have read with great disgust Mayor Bloomberg's outspoken support of Governor Paterson's ill-advised veto of the police and fire Tier 2 pension continuation. Many years ago when Tier 3 was created, a prudent decision was made by the Legislature to exempt police and fire and leave them in Tier 2. Mayor Bloomberg is actively pursuing the undoing of this decision.
