Arthur Browne the cowardly editorial page editor of the Daily News (seen below) states in today's editorial page,"public employee
unions have sacrificed exactly nothing", in the mayors gallant crusade to stem pension costs. But despite this huge crisis,
Bloomberg has said nothing about stealing and corruption being perpetrated by politicians and their
connected rich friends. The Daily News feels pension costs are such an issue they put Junior Gotti's mother on the front page because she yelled during
court. That's right, that's front page news at the Daily News while the burgeoning investigation into corruption revolving around our pension fund
explodes. Hey Arthur, don't you think stealing from the fund is worse than legitimately working 20 years for it? Maybe I'm naive...
Just in case you have forgotten our sacrifices Arthur, none of us has. Here's some photos of what the police department has sacrificed you coward. Tell me
Arthur, would the pension benefit have been too rich for these guys? What about you Bloomy? Could you face their families
and tell them they are being overcompensated and won't sacrifice? They would spit right in your face and rightly so. Both of you cowards take
a hard long look at these men's faces so the both of you understand what a sacrifice actually is.

If the city hadn't raided the pension fund when times were good there wouldn't be problem. I don't understand why we're expected to
"sacrifice" anything because of Bloomberg's fiscal irresponsibility and mismanagement of city pension funds.

NYPD Cops have sacrificed for decades while the city was doing ok fiscally.. Giuliani reported surplus after surplus but gave the cops ZERO in raises.. NYPD Cops and their families have suffered while the city increased welfare benefits.. NYPD Cops and their families have suffered while the city welcomed and increased expenditures on ILLEGAL AILIENS!! The sacrifice is on the memorial wall at 1 Police Plaza. The sacrifice exists in the crime rates that WE brought down. The sacrifice exists in the zeros shoved up our collective azzes. The sacrifices exist in the numbingly insulting contracts given us during the boom times. Don't give back one single thing, not one single inch. How about the Daily News exposing the fraudulent accounting practices the city uses, the Democratic operatives with their hands in our pension pockets and the loans the city has made to itself from pension funds. The Police have never sacrificed ? You Daily News Scvmbags. If in your opinion, we've never sacrificed, What The Fvck did the Yankees and the Mets do to get the sweetheart deals worth BILLIONS that they received for their new stadiums ? What did they sacrifice ? Nothing, Nada, Zilch. As for me, I've given up as a consumer on Professional Sports. Yeah, I'll watch the occasional game. I'll never pay for any of the Sports Packages offered. I'll also never, ever pay for a ticket that subsidizes any pro sports team. They can all kiss my never made a sacrifice azz. And my life is no less fulfilled because of it. Any MOS who subsidizes either baseball team is tantamount to being a SCAB. They got your pay and benefits as Bloomberg's Corporate Welfare package.. Nobody gave a crap about our pensions during the late 80's and 90's when we literally paid with our blood and turned this sh it hole back into a great city. Nobody gave a crap about our pensions during the greatest economic boom in the city's history when everybody in the private sector was getting rich and we were given ZEROES. Now that these same private sector criminals have run the economy into the ground through unmitigated greed, who should sacrifice? Them? Of course not. They get government bailouts and billion dollar bonuses for ruining the country. Who should sacrifice? Well, according to Bloomberg, the city unions of course. How dare we have the unmitigated gall to expect the city to honor the pensions and benefits that we've earned through decades of blood, and sweat. We should have to atone for the corruption and mismanagement that we had no hand in creating. F uck You Mike. We already gave. This is the latest in the never ending campaign of union busting by Billionaire Bloomberg and his minions in the New York media. Divide and conquer. This guy does not understand basic math.
The city worker has worked decades for an ungrateful city and CONTRIBUTED to their own pensions. The city used their own accounting system to rig the numbers so that the funds appeared healthy and then did not contribute their obligations. The Politicians used the funds to garner political favor by steering them to financial funds run by their buddies. The managers fluffed the money for fees and lost principal. I say investigate who authorized the cities bogus accounting method and whether their share of the pension obligations have been contributed. (Sounds like fraud to me) Investigate all politicians involved in any pension steering and whether their families, friends or pals were involved. Investigate the funds and how the fees are generated. The perfect financial pension storm is fast approaching the city and I am sure that the Mayor of the City of NY and owner of a financial network does not have a vested interest in outing his political or financial pals in a financial investigation and has arbitrarily chosen to throw the pensioner under the bus. |

After berating us all night, your janitor told us he was making $80,000, we were making $30,000. I wonder what your janitors make today, let alone your editorial board. Why not write an Editorial comparing Daily News Salaries and perks, to that of the NYPD. Oh and by the way, even though the City pays the Cops, last time I looked, Cops pay the same high taxes your workers do, and for a lot less money. |

I got the call from one of the Mayor's flunkies and he asked for my time so he could explain Bloomburg's 5-point plan. I blasted him and said I had
two points against the Mayor's plan: 1) His trying to make me & my union sound like bad guys for taking 3% from the City for my raise (pushing me into
a $40,000+/yrly salary range); 2) I voted twice for term limits and His Honor and his flunkies on the City Council considered my votes Null & Void. I
told his flunky that like those last two votes I consider the Mayor and his 5-point plan Null & Void!!
And, I stopped buying the Daily News years ago!! They don't report news, they pander to those who do evil to all of us in this City; from Politicians to Racists to Hate Mongers!!

The Daily News blasted us because like so many other newspapers their advertising revenue is down. We have jobs and they are being let go to cut costs. We can
retire after 20 years while they still have to pound the pavement. None of them are your friends. There are a few reporters that hated us and have all become
cops. Funny how a lack of income makes them have to take a job with people they hate.
