10/22/12) CENTEREACH - News 12 Long Island has learned that the ex-wife of Joseph Olivieri, the Nassau County police officer laid to rest today, has been found dead.

A friend of the woman, Christine Bregante, says Bregante's body was found today at her apartment on Robert Drive in Centereach. The friend says she was 39 years old and did not have children with the fallen officer.

Olivieri died last week after being struck by an SUV on the Long Island Expressway.

No, reports state that the officer's two kids are from a different marriage. This woman was found by her boyfriend and the investigation is termed "non-criminal" at this point.

I think what you meant is that it's a horrible tragedy. The way you wrote it infers something else. Children or not, God rest both their souls, and may He give their families the strength to carry on. And prayers to our brothers in Nassau County. Today is a terrible day.....

Getting WAY off topic here. Not too many details here, but sounds like another tragedy for PO Oliveri's family. Now another NCPD MOS is killed, and we are arguing about punctuation. I say let it go for a few days.
