This was formerly known as the bklyn wall of remembrance at keyspan park. Names and likeness of all first responders that lived in the 5 boro's who were
killed in the attack on the WTC will be added to the wall. 1400 hrs, sunday 5/18. P.S. I had posted a month ago about the flag pole dedication for Navy Seal MOH
Lt. Michael Murphy. Many thought this was not enough, myself included. A park in the town of Brookhaven,Serenity Plaza in Ronkonkoma, and a dedication at the
Patchogue post office can be added to the list. The Navy is also naming a Destroyer after this selfless Hero.

They had a fundraiser for this last year at Brooklyn College, which I went to. I was kinda disappointed. It was run by a few retired Rubbermen. The whole thing
felt like an "FDNY ARE HEROES" show, ooh and by the way, NYPD and PAPD lost a couple guys, too.
Just my take. I hope that it is nice for all of the families who lost someone, regardless of which patch they wore on their shoulder. |
