Posts: 1484 05/21/08 20:49:05	Tags : daily, news, mike, bloomberg, arthur, paul, browne Over the past months I have noticed that the Daily News editor Arthur Browne has taken to an unyielding attack on NYC cops when it comes to controversial incidents and contract talks, specifically when dealing with Pat Lynch and the PBA. It is important to note Daily News Editor Arthur Browne is a Mike Bloomberg flunky. He worked several years for Bloomberg before going to the Daily News. It seems he shares the same venom for the police that Bloomberg has. That's an interesting coincidence. And I can't help but wonder if DCPI chief Paul Browne is related. Could Paul Browne be feeding inside info to Arthur to help further the mayors agenda???? It seems clear Arthur Browne is just a little too interested in the PBA negotiations and has a real contempt for Patty Lynch which I find very odd and disturbing. *I firmly believe that Mayor Mike Bloomberg used the Daily News Editorial Board to help slant public opinion against the PBA during their negotiations.* Is it possible Paul Browne was hired by Bloomberg to insure the Daily News Editorial page would be his bully pulpit against the PBA???? This would also explain why the Daily News reported the Det. Sean McTighe suspension the way they did. They made no mention of how that action (as direct result of Bloomberg policies) has impeded the Immette St. Guillen case, because it would make bloomberg look stupid! The City knows that while they can play all the dirty tricks they want by buying the Neutral Arbitrator and perjuring themselves on the stand, they have run out of excuses as to why the NYPD can't get anyone to take this job or keep anyone that has the opportunity to leave. I agree with you Fordham. And Bloomberg is their Puppetmaster. He's a major media manipulator. You made a good point about how when the Yuppies step up in their careers and salary, they believe it's a good thing. But when anyone in the NYPD does it, it's a bad thing. Heaven forbid, those Blue-Collar people want a better life. Good Lord, the Rooks are down to eight ot nine days vac. It's like being a migrant farm worker. Geez, the whole thing is starting to shape up like another Workers Revolution. That is not a good thing.

Posts: 5 05/21/08 21:47:00	It is not only the City's "luck", but the other unions who help the City to try to keep the PBA down. Why did any other uniformed union take a 3% and 3% raise, the same below inflation raise accepted by clerks. Why? The PBA had already had PERB say that extra money shoudl be paid to uniforms. Remember the DEA criticizing the two 5% increases that the PBA got from Schmertz and then they take 3% raises? Remember the detectives and other groups doing the City's bidding in killing Schmertz at the PERB Board, a guy who knew the City's games and gave the PBA 7% more than the clerks. Not that those unions have any juice. It was to pin public responsibility on the unions when the City was responsible for killing his nomination behind the scenes and destroying his reputation. And then one of the leaders of those groups become the head of the police pension system? The City has no decency and these unions are their patsees. The stories go on and on. All these other uniform groups try to curry favor with civilian groups and the City only to have the City and the civilians run all over them.

Where is Paul Browne or where is the unit?
