I had my papers in to go before the board and I pulled out.. Very recently They gave me my board date and I told the LT on the phone thanks but no thanks.
Sorry to waste your time LT but I decided not to risk IAB or OCCB. He was actually very polite about it. Never tried to B.S. me or talk me into going before
the board. Ill stay right here on patrol. Matter a fact, give me the desk every night.

Yea gang suppression isnt on track yet, my buddy some that rumor is Boyce is fighting for them to get on track, on Izzo is on board. So time will tell. I got a
few friends in gang Supp and they do warrants and all that other *+$@, so beats me why they arent on track. Gang is a small Division, and it wouldnt suprise me
if they poss shutdown if the suppression guys get @+*%!$, how can everyone in OCCB get a shield but them. Meanwhile you gotpeople who drive a P-van or answer
the phone on the FOD everyday and get one.

If your a boss in your last year why not go and rape them with as much OT as possible.Go over the cap every month.It sounds like they are so desperate by the
time the figure whats whats your gone with a nice padded pension.Did 9 years in Narco, but that was when it was pretty good.If it's just a year a person
could mange in any unit.It might not be easy but when your retired it will be all worth it.Are they that desperate that they will take a guy in his last year?
I would lie and tell them im doing 25.Just a thought.

One of my young neigbors is in Qns Narcotics and enjoys it,OCCB is a great place for those you can go to work everyday not knowing when their gonna go
home. Plenty of OT and a gold shield. It doesnt work well for married folks with working wifes. I did three yrs there 16 yrs ago and had alot of laughs. A
boss there makes Captains salary, but again you work alot and fridays and saturdays.
I lauging because most of you people wouldbe on line to go there if you had to work the 9 squad chart and made no OT on patrol!!! Patrol beceme a detail before I retired , it wanot meant to be that way by design. Their will always be people who will do the grunt work in the job and their will always be those will never carry a rifle. Remember our dead heros today from all wars. FREEDOM ISNOT AND NEVER WILLBE FREE, the problem is 90 percent of out country thinks it is. |

Salth, I sat on the desk last night on a 4x12 and it was great. Enter a collar, send down narco on a mail run, order in from very far, done with command log
entries, EOT and Im gone! A tall boy between the legs for a ride home and another night this job got nothing out of me. Thank god I pulled my papers.
