I'm wondering if our old friend that there have been previous threads about is at it again ? Email : Just a heads up if you live on Staten Island or travel through it because this could be you or your family member. There's a platoon commander in the 120 that orders his midnight cops to write family members when he rides with them. Apparently, he forgot he was an officer and does not believe in professional courtesy....Just thought you need to know that... There is a focused scrunity on traffic court and IAB will try to jam you up for anything. If you are ordered to write a summons by a supervisor, then make a detailed entry in your memo book to cya. A Lt can write summonses so he should write them himself Why order a cop to write it unless it has something to do with a quota which is illegal. Don't dive me that crap that bosses don't write be ause I know of quite a few in Manhattan Traffic who do. "I am not addressing a superior officer-merely a higher ranking one!" If the officer didn't witness the violation, he needs to cross out the two lines at the bottome of the summons "I personally observed...". The Lt should just sign the summons.
