There are other gun rights lobbying groups that do not demean our fellow law enforcement officers. And that legislation was aimed to protect people against charges when they held the reasonable belief that they were victims of a crime crew doing home invasions disguised as police, which was apparently a substantial problem in Indiana when that was proposed. I'm not necessarily a fan of such legislation (the answer is MASSIVE penalties for doing a home invasion disguised as a cop). That being said, they are the main voice against Bloomberg, Schumer and Feinstein. I've been there, unable to get extra mags for an issued 5946 during the Clinton ban, because if I asked for an agency letter, I would been laughed out of the building. We're in some pretty dire circumstances right now. If Cuomo has his way, retirees are going to get limited to 7 round. As some have said, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
